Erie Architectural Products Hires Industry Veteran John Cookson as National Sales Manager

Cookson brings more than 18 years of experience to his leadership role

ATLANTA, Ga. (August 22, 2022) – YKK AP America Inc. (YKK AP), a leading manufacturer of award-winning commercial facade systems and residential doors and windows, announced today that John Cookson has joined its subsidiary, Erie Architectural Products Group (Erie AP), as National Sales Manager. 

Cookson comes to YKK AP with more than 18 years of global experience in the glass and glazing industry. A high-performing technical and commercial leader, he will leverage his deep technical and customer-focused expertise to lead Erie AP’s national sales team. Cookson will work closely with glazing contractors and architects to provide a complete end-to-end service experience – from conceptual design to construction completion.

Prior to joining Erie AP, Cookson worked with facades company, Schüco Southeast Asia, where he was responsible for the company’s Southeast Asia Technical and Engineering Operations. He successfully led a team of 11 covering seven nationalities and four core regions. Cookson has also spent time working at Kawneer,  Sapa Building Systems and Saint-Gobain. Throughout his career, Cookson has built, developed and led teams with a focus on creating a culture of excellence, collaboration and sales success.
