YKK AP America Wins Product Innovation Award for its Thermashade Sun Control System
YKK AP America’s ThermaShade Sun Control System was honored with an Architectural Products 2015 Product Innovation Award (PIA) in the Windows/Doors/Openings category. Announced in the November issue of Architectural Products, the PIAs aim to showcase a wide-range of innovative building-related products that the readers, including architects, specifiers, designers and building owners/operators, use most in their project specifications.
The award is designed to determine and honor innovation in the development and refinement of buildings-related products. Products were assigned to a diverse body of judges including architects, interior designers, lighting designers and veteran A/E/C writers. The group of 35 independent industry professionals then reviewed the entries and selected the products they found most innovative and worth investigating.
“It is an honor to have the ThermaShade Sun Control System named one of the most groundbreaking products by such an esteemed panel of judges,” said Oliver Stepe, senior vice president, YKK AP America. “We aim to design and deliver products that accommodate the needs of our customers, which are embodied by the panel and readers.
