YKK AP America Announces the Appointment of Ivan Zuniga as Director of Product Development

ATLANTA, Ga. (Oct. 2, 2023) – YKK AP America (YKK AP) today announced the appointment of Ivan Zuniga as Director of Product Development. In his new role, he will be responsible for leading, directing and overseeing daily operations of the product development group in an effort to accelerate product innovation and further the company’s global purpose to build a better society through architectural products.

Zuniga brings more than 30 years of architectural product development experience to YKK AP.  Most recently, he served as product development manager for a manufacturer of architectural aluminum systems for the commercial construction industry.

Zuniga’s work has been widely recognized by the fenestration industry. In 2021, he was awarded the Architectural Distinguished Service Award for his formative work on behalf of the Fenestration & Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA). Most notably, Zuniga chaired the Acoustical Substitution Task Force and the Sustainability Steering Committee, advocating for sustainability and transparency-related issues.

Zuniga is a Professional Engineer and holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering from Virginia Tech and a Master’s of Business Administration from Georgia State University.
