Training provided by YKK AP America Inc. may not cover all possible applications. YKK AP America Inc. does not guarantee or certify installation based on attendance at training programs. It is the responsibility of the installer of YKK AP America Inc. products to perform installation of the products in accordance with published Installation Instructions and in accordance with applicable building codes. Proper product selection is the responsibility of the architect, general contractor, and installer. YKK AP America Inc. will place a priority on safety during the training program, however any injury that occurs will be the responsibility of the individual, their company, and their insurance provider.

YKK AP America Inc. will be hosting Installation Quality Assurance Training Sessions in Dublin, Georgia. This year we are offering 2 identical training sessions. Session I begins Monday, February 22 at 8:00 a.m. EST and ends by 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 26. Session II begins Monday, March 1 at 8:00 a.m. EST and ends by 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 5.   • Engineering fundamentals
  • Proper use of YKK AP-provided quality assurance tools
  • Installation procedures for the most popular YKK AP products using full-sized mock-up installations
  • Entrance installation and hardware adjustment
  • Field Water Testing Standards and procedures
  • A tour of YKK AP's manufacturing facility to provide education on our processes and services

The training session is intended for project managers, fabrication shop supervisors, and jobsite managers and supervisors of glaziers. Trainees should be selected based on their ability to extend this training to the rest of their workforce. The focus of the training session is to provide the attendees basic knowledge of industry standards and installation procedures to ensure proper installation of YKK AP Storefront, Entrance, Curtain Wall, Window Wall, and Window products. Tuition is $350.

YKK AP will be providing lunch each day and dinner one evening. Attendees are responsible for transportation to and from Dublin, Georgia, hotel expenses, dinner expenses (except one night), and any other incidental expenses. Initial registration is limited to one attendee per company. Additional requests will be confirmed as space allows. Please send a check for $350.00 along with your registration form. YKK AP will confirm registration by February 1, 2010. Please wait until you receive confirmation before making travel arrangements. After that date, accepted tuition checks are non-refundable. Upon confirmation of registration acceptance, YKK AP will send an information package that will include hotel lists (including expected room rates), maps to Dublin, Georgia and a detailed agenda. Attendees should be prepared to begin training at 8:00 A.M. on Monday. It is recommended that attendees arrive Sunday evening. Training will conclude by 10:00 A.M. on Friday. Travel time between Dublin and the Atlanta Airport is under 2 hours.
